PlanEat

leaf-green

PlanEat was one of the first documentaries to emerge that linked the food we eat with the rising rates of chronic disease and the devastation of our environment. Why are more people dying from heart disease and cancer? Why are dead zones in the ocean growing, the ice caps melting and more and more forests being cut down? How do we feed a population that is rapidly outgrowing the food supply?

PlanEat seeks to answer these questions by following the lifelong work of Dr T. Colin Campbell (author of the China Study), Prof. Gidon Eshel  and Dr Caldwell Esselstyn. The film features interviews with plant-based chefs in the UK (one a former boerewors eating South African) and shows that living a healthy, plant-based lifestyle is not only good for us, but good for the planet and the best hope we have for the future.
